ABOUT KILIMANJARO’S NORTHERN CIRCUIT ROUTE

It encompasses the finest features of other routes, creating an extraordinary hiking journey that captures the essence of this majestic mountain. By deviating from the conventional south side of Kibo, the Northern Circuit route ventures into the lesser-explored northern trails, ensuring an exclusive and immersive expedition. One of the notable advantages of the Northern Circuit route is the limited presence of fellow trekkers. With its secluded nature, this path grants a serene and undisturbed atmosphere, allowing trekkers to fully immerse themselves in the peaceful surroundings. The campsites along the route are characterized by tranquillity, as they remain relatively untouched and uncrowded, further enhancing the sense of solace and serenity.

In addition to its tranquil ambience, the Northern Circuit route offers an extended trekking experience compared to other trails. This additional duration allows trekkers to soak in more of the mountain’s awe-inspiring beauty. The journey begins by traversing the remarkable expanse of the Shira Plateau, offering captivating vistas that captivate the senses. Along the way, glimpses of the majestic Kibo Peak and the breathtaking Uhuru Summit emerge, painting an ever-changing landscape that serves as a constant source of inspiration. Furthermore, trekkers are rewarded with magnificent views overlooking the expansive plains to the north of the mountain, a rare spectacle witnessed by only a fortunate few who embark on the ascent of Kilimanjaro.

Embarking on a 10-day Northern Circuit Route itinerary to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro is an adventure that promises to exceed all expectations. This extraordinary journey will take you through a breathtaking landscape, showcasing the diversity of the surrounding ecosystems.
