Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide who will accompany you on the drive to Arusha Coffee Lodge. Nestled on a picturesque coffee plantation, this delightful lodge offers breathtaking views of Mount Meru and serves as the perfect place to acclimate to the African climate. After settling into your cottage, take a leisurely stroll through the plantations, explore the nearby markets of Arusha, or unwind in the tranquil poolside gardens with a refreshing beverage. During chilly winter evenings, snuggle up next to a cozy fireplace and savour some of the best coffee you will ever taste.

Arusha is a captivating town in Tanzania that serves as the gateway to the Northern Safari Circuit, with easy access to numerous national parks and game reserves, including the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Nestled beneath the towering presence of Mount Meru, Arusha is also renowned for its stunning landscapes, delicious local cuisine, and warm and friendly people. Embark on a short city tour to appreciate the town’s beauty before embarking on unforgettable safari adventures.

Accommodation: Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, take off from the airport in a charter plane waiting to fly you to Lake Manyara. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and take you on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, providing a glimpse of the adventures that await. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, nestled in a grove of majestic mahogany trees, is your exclusive accommodation for the next two nights. The lodge is the only one located within the park, providing a serene ambiance complemented by its intimate size. The ten delightful tree-house suites surround an elegant central lounge, bar, and dining area, each offering stunning views and natural light that filters through the sliding doors. You’ll enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, as well as thrilling night drives during your stay at the lodge. Lake Manyara, situated in the magnificent Great Rift Valley, boasts a diverse range of natural habitats surrounding the soda lake, a sanctuary for flamingos and other waterbirds that make it a paradise for birding enthusiasts. The forested valleys and open savannah plains support a large elephant population, giraffes, buffalos, and many antelope species. Although there are fewer predators, Lake Manyara’s lions are a highlight, famous for their tree-climbing habits.

Accommodation: Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

Upon arriving at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, situated on the crater’s rim, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into another world. The lodge offers panoramic views from your lavishly decorated suite’s private balcony, providing one of the most spectacular views in Africa. Meet your guide over a decadent high tea, where you can discuss your interests and the game-viewing experience at Ngorongoro. With a density of game that is rarely seen anywhere in Africa, combined with breathtaking scenery, Ngorongoro’s magic is evident long before you reach the crater floor. This is one of the few places on the continent where the Big 5 can be seen in a single game drive, along with herds of gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra. Smaller predators like caracal and serval cats are also often seen, alongside lions and their eternal enemies, the spotted hyena. The forests and marshes are the domain of elephants, while the crater’s wetlands belong to hippos and thousands of flamingos.

After a full day of adventuring and a delicious picnic lunch on the crater plains, return to the lodge’s elegant comforts with time to digest the wonders you have seen and share anecdotes with fellow travellers over fireside cocktails. A sumptuous dinner is served in the glamorous dining room, bringing the day to a delightful close full of decadence and wonder.

Accommodation: Serengeti Under Canvas

As you bid farewell to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, your adventure continues with a charter flight to the Serengeti. As you soar above the vast plains, you can feel the excitement building in anticipation of the wildlife that awaits you below. The Serengeti is renowned for its Great Migration, where over a million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle follow a circular route in search of fresh pastures and nurturing grass shoots.
