Important to Know

  1. Visa Requirements: Ensure that you have obtained the necessary visa to enter Tanzania before your tour begins. Check with the Tanzanian Embassy or Consulate in your country for the most up-to-date visa requirements.
  2. Health and Vaccinations: It is recommended to consult with your healthcare provider or travel clinic to receive updated information on required and recommended vaccinations for Tanzania. Malaria prophylaxis is also advised, as Tanzania is a malaria-endemic country.
  3. Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellation or interruption, and personal belongings. Confirm that your insurance includes coverage for activities such as wildlife safaris and adventure travel.
  4. Currency and Payment: The official currency of Tanzania is the Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). It’s advisable to carry some local currency for small purchases or tipping. Credit cards are widely accepted in major cities and lodges, but it’s always good to have some cash on hand, especially when visiting more remote areas. For this trip payments are accepted only in USD.
  5. Climate and Packing: Tanzania experiences varying climates, so pack accordingly. Lightweight and breathable clothing, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and sturdy walking shoes are essential. Don’t forget to bring a warm layer for cooler evenings and early morning game drives. It’s also recommended to pack a good pair of binoculars and a camera to capture the incredible wildlife and landscapes.
  6. Respect for Wildlife and Local Culture: It’s important to respect the wildlife and their natural habitats during your safari. Follow the guidance of your safari guide and adhere to park rules and regulations. Additionally, be respectful of the local culture and traditions, dress modestly when visiting local communities, and always ask for permission before taking photographs of individuals.
  7. Safety Precautions: While Tanzania is generally safe for tourists, it’s advisable to take basic safety precautions. Avoid displaying valuable items in public, be cautious of your surroundings, and follow the instructions of your safari guide. It’s also recommended to drink bottled or filtered water and wash your hands regularly to maintain good hygiene.
  8. Itinerary and Schedule: Familiarize yourself with the tour itinerary and schedule to ensure you are aware of the daily activities, departure times, and any optional excursions. Arriving on time for activities will help maximize your safari experience.
  9. This tour offers lodge & Tented Camp accommodations with upgrades available at an additional cost.

Remember to communicate any specific dietary requirements, allergies, or special requests to the tour operator in advance to ensure they can accommodate your needs during the tour.
