At Alkebulan Travels, we offer a wide range of bottled oxygen supplies essential for high-altitude expeditions, aimed at enhancing acclimatization and preventing acute mountain sickness (AMS). Our experienced guides are trained to identify early signs of AMS and provide oxygen promptly, helping climbers stabilize their oxygen levels and continue their journey on Kilimanjaro.
We understand the importance of having oxygen available during high-altitude treks. In case additional supplies are needed, our robust support system allows for quick assistance from nearby Alkebulan teams, as we manage a large number of Kilimanjaro expeditions. Our infrastructure ensures rapid delivery of extra oxygen from our climbing base in under six hours if necessary.
Unlike many operators who offer oxygen only during severe AMS, Alkebulan Travels uses bottled oxygen proactively to prevent AMS, reducing stress and enhancing the overall trekking experience. With 150 portable oxygen systems available, we prioritize safety and ensure our equipment is well-maintained and adequately supplied for all climbers.
Medical Chek-Ups & WFR Certified Guides
Every morning and evening during our exhilarating hikes, our WFR-certified guides conduct thorough medical check-ups to ensure the health and well-being of all participants, including our crew members. These assessments help confirm that everyone is acclimating to the altitude safely. Our guides engage in friendly conversations while measuring oxygen saturation levels and may also check blood pressure or lung function to detect signs of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Attendance at these check-ups is mandatory for all hikers, even those feeling well.
At Alkebulan Travels, we have extensive experience supporting climbers with health conditions like diabetes and asthma. We create tailored plans to ensure their safety and comfort. If health concerns arise, our guides use the AMS scoring system and consult with our in-company doctor before making decisions about a climber’s ability to continue.
Before the expedition, our doctor reviews pre-departure health forms to ensure every participant is prepared. We prioritize safety by keeping detailed medical records for each person, ensuring confidentiality and that necessary information is available for medical professionals if needed. Our commitment is to make your Kilimanjaro climb safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable.
Fully Loaded Medical Kits
