Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Take this day to rest, acclimatize, and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

After an early breakfast, we drive to the Londorossi Gate, where we complete the necessary registration procedures. From there, our trek begins through the lush rainforest of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail winds its way through a magnificent natural environment, filled with towering trees and a variety of birdlife. Our first campsite, Mti Mkubwa Camp, offers a tranquil setting to spend the night.

Today, we leave the rainforest behind and enter the vast moorland zone. As we ascend, the vegetation becomes sparse, and we are treated to stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The trail takes us to Shira 1 Camp, where we set up camp for the night. Here, we can appreciate the unique beauty of the moorland and enjoy a peaceful evening under the starry sky.

Continuing our trek, we make our way from Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp. The landscape becomes even more expansive and rugged as we ascend higher. Walking across the moorland, we are surrounded by unique vegetation adapted to the harsh mountain environment. Shira 2 Camp provides a picturesque setting to spend the night, with stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Today’s trek takes us to the imposing Lava Tower, standing at an elevation of 15,190 feet. This is an important acclimatization point on our journey. After taking in the breathtaking views, we descend to Barranco Camp. The descent allows us to regain energy and prepare for the following day’s adventure. Along the way, we are treated to stunning vistas of the alpine desert landscape.

After breakfast, we conquer the famous Barranco Wall, a thrilling rock scramble that requires careful navigation. This challenging section rewards us with remarkable views of glaciers and valleys. Continuing along the southern slopes of Kibo, we make our way to Karanga Camp. Here, we rest and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Leaving Karanga Camp, we embark on a short but steep ascent towards Barafu Camp. The landscape transitions into an otherworldly alpine desert, with sparse vegetation and rocky terrain. Barafu Camp, situated on a rocky ridge, serves as our base camp for the summit attempt. We rest and prepare for the challenging ascent that awaits us.

Today is the highlight of our journey as we embark on the final push to the summit, Uhuru Peak. Starting in the early hours of the morning, we make our way up the steep slopes, navigating through scree and icy patches. As we reach the summit just before dawn, we are rewarded with an awe-inspiring sunrise and a sense of accomplishment. After celebrating our achievement, we begin our descent to Millennium Camp, where we spend the night.

Our final descent takes us through the lush rainforest, offering a pleasant change from the higher altitude landscapes. As we make our way down, we reflect on our remarkable journey and cherish the sights and sounds of the vibrant rainforest. At Mweka Gate, we receive our summit certificates and bid farewell to our mountain crew. From there, a vehicle will transport us to Mweka Village and onward to our hotel in Moshi.

Today marks the end of our unforgettable adventure on Mount Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, we bid farewell and our team will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. You can depart with a sense of accomplishment, cherished memories, and the knowledge that you have conquered one of the world’s most iconic peaks.
