In the morning, our experienced driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and begin the scenic drive to Lake Natron. As you traverse the picturesque landscapes, keep your eyes peeled for glimpses of wildlife and the vibrant Maasai tribespeople. After a delightful lunch, you’ll check in at Lengai Safari Lodge.

Prepare for an exciting walking tour to Ngare Sero waterfall, where you’ll navigate through a stunning gorge and enjoy the refreshing beauty of the cascading waters. Capture the incredible scenery of the lakeshore before returning to the lodge for a delicious dinner and well-deserved rest.

At 1:00 a.m., our driver will transport you to the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, marking the beginning of your thrilling climb. The ascent can be challenging, so it’s important to follow your guide’s lead and take caution in the darkness. The trek will test your stamina and can take anywhere from 7 to 12 hours, depending on your fitness level. As you gain altitude, take short breaks to acclimatize to the steep gradient.

During the climb, you’ll pause for a nourishing breakfast to replenish your energy for the final push to the crater’s edge at an altitude of 2,960 meters. Here, you’ll witness the remarkable sounds of the lava flow inside the Mountain of God crater—an experience that will stay with you forever. The descent is comparatively easier, but it’s essential to remain cautious and watch your step. After the hike, our driver will be waiting to greet you with refreshing cold drinks before driving you back to Arusha.
