Safari Itinerary
Day 0: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our team will greet you and drive you to your lodge in Arusha. After check-in, relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Take this time to rest, shake off jet lag, and prepare for your incredible safari adventure ahead
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After a leisurely breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. Known for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire also offers sightings of lions, leopards, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch, capturing the first wildlife highlights of your trip.
In the late afternoon, you’ll check into your lodge where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and dinner under the African sky.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Leave the Tarangire ecosystem and journey through the beautiful highlands of Ngorongoro before entering the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, keep an eye out for Maasai villages and scattered wildlife.
Upon entering Serengeti, you’ll begin game driving immediately—your first taste of the endless golden plains and scattered acacia trees. By afternoon, you’ll arrive at your camp for a relaxing evening.
Day 3: Northern Serengeti – Chasing the Great Migration
After an early breakfast, head toward the northern Serengeti to seek the massive herds gathering near the Mara River. This region is less crowded and known for dramatic wildebeest crossings, crocodile attacks, and thrilling predator scenes.
Spend the day tracking herds, waiting patiently near crossing points, and enjoying one of nature’s greatest shows. Every crossing is unique, raw, and emotional.
Day 4: Northern Serengeti – River Crossings and Predator Action
Today you will continue exploring the northern Serengeti. Your expert guide will position you near the river, giving you maximum chances of seeing a live crossing. Apart from wildebeests, expect to see lions, leopards, hyenas, and crocodiles lying in wait.
Picnic lunches in the wild ensure you don’t miss a moment of the action. Return to camp in the evening for sundowners and dinner under the stars.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti – Another Full Day of Adventure
Spend another day deep in the migration corridor. Some herds move slowly; others dash across the river in dramatic fashion. Between crossings, you’ll explore secret valleys and riverbanks teeming with wildlife.
This extra day greatly increases your chances of witnessing multiple crossings—a must for photographers and true safari enthusiasts.
Day 6: Return to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, make your way south toward the central Serengeti, famous for its year-round resident wildlife. Enjoy a relaxed game drive through kopjes (rocky outcrops), river valleys, and open savannahs—a perfect area for spotting cheetahs, leopards, and lions.
Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro – Final Game Drive and Crater Views
Wake early for one last Serengeti game drive at sunrise—one of the most beautiful times on the plains. Afterwards, continue your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Along the way, you’ll pass through Maasai lands and rolling highlands. Upon arrival, relax at your lodge on the crater rim, enjoying magnificent views over the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Wildlife Haven and Return to Arusha
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater, home to over 25,000 animals including black rhinos, lions, elephants, and hippos. This natural sanctuary offers some of the best wildlife viewing anywhere in Africa.
After a half-day game drive and a bush picnic, start your drive back to Arusha, where your safari ends with a relaxing evening at your lodge.
Day 9: Departure – Transfer to the Airport
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Your short but unforgettable safari adventure comes to an end, leaving you with amazing memories of Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes.
