Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival + Sunset Dhow Cruise
Arrive in Zanzibar and meet your guide at the ferry terminal. After a short transfer, check in at Serena Inn Hotel in Stone Town, one of the most charming heritage properties on the island. Once you’ve had time to relax, you’ll be picked up around 4:40 PM for an evening dhow cruise. Aboard a traditional Swahili boat, enjoy music, drinks, and a warm sea breeze while watching the sun melt into the Indian Ocean. The boat returns just after sunset, leaving you time to unwind before dinner and overnight at Serena Inn.
Day 2: Spice Farm Tour
After breakfast, you’ll head inland to one of Zanzibar’s famous spice farms. On this immersive tour, you’ll walk through aromatic plantations of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom. A local guide will introduce you to dozens of tropical plants, allowing you to see, touch, and taste the ingredients that made Zanzibar globally famous. You’ll also sample exotic fruits and Swahili dishes flavored with fresh spices, followed by spiced tea. After the experience, return to Stone Town to enjoy your evening at the hotel.
Day 3: Mnemba Island Dolphin Tour + Snorkeling
Rise early for a 6:00 AM transfer to the northeastern coast for your half-day marine tour. A boat ride will take you to the waters near Mnemba Island, one of Zanzibar’s top spots for marine life. With luck, you’ll see pods of dolphins swimming nearby. Snorkel in the coral reefs surrounded by tropical fish and soak in the calm morning sea. You’ll be served fresh fruit on board before returning to Stone Town. The rest of your day is free to explore or relax at your leisure. Overnight at Serena Inn.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the ferry terminal for your journey back to Dar es Salaam or your next destination. Your short but rich stay in Zanzibar comes to a close, filled with new memories and island warmth.
